Jacksonville is a great metropolitan city with a lot of job opportunities for newly graduated students. The weather is good most of the time, and there are a few large shopping malls, it's close to the beach, and has a wide variety of cuisine.

There are a lot of individually owned shops including wedding dress stores, restaurants, paint stores and more.
Some parts of the city are better than others. Overall it's not so bad as long as you stay away from well-known crime areas.
