Midtown Detroit is very unique. With Wayne State and other universities active in the area there is a great energy. The Cass and Canfield area is my personal favorite. Plenty of great restaurants and bars. There is ALWAYS events going on. Very happening!

Since living in Metro Detroit, I have encountered many ups and some downs with the ups it overrides the bad. I enjoy living in Metro Detroit because I get to see all the new features coming as well as living in such a historical area. I believe Detroit is what you make it as an individual knowing that things can happen I am just very cautious. Also, I believe Chief James Craig and Mayor Mike Duggan are doing fantastic bring Detroit back to a beautiful place. I have lived in Detroit for half of my life and honestly there is problems everywhere where as here there is but the problem is being resolved.
Midtown has a lot of good places to eat. Alley Taco, Hop Cat, and Cass Cafe are always good to stop into. It feels fairly safe. Midtown has Whole Foods, as well as Food Pride for grocery stores. They are not the greatest options, but they get the job done.
