The people of Memorial form a tight-knit community. When someone needs help, it seems as if everyone knows about it in the blink of an eye. Furthermore, the schools are great. From elementary to high school, the quality of education tends not to disappoint. The kids also are never left out; they will most certainly find a friend among the many kids in the neighborhood.

The Memorial area is very nice. While it is an expensive area, there are still areas that are affordable for middle class families. You get the big trees and yards, while being in the city. The schools in the area are highly ranked academically. The only place I have lived so far that I feel safe at any time of day or night. There is also police patrol through each subdivision day and night. There are always people walking and are always friendly. It is very convenient to major freeways and parts of town. Overall, safety is the biggest plus!
Memorial is very elite and offers incredible opportunities. The schools here, public and private, are very good. The shopping and restaurants are off the charts for a residential area. It's a very fun place to live, and there's always new developments occurring. I love how close I live to City Centre and Memorial City Mall, and I'm only about a 29 minute drive from downtown. Because of how elite the area is, often people can be materialistic and exclusive. However, not everyone is like that; I've met smart, kind, amazing people here as well.
