I was born and raised in Melrose. The nearest town is Schaghticoke which is really close. There you'll find Hoosic Valley Central School which is, in my opinion, one of the best schools around. In Schaghticoke, youll find the Schaghticoke fair which comes every year. the town is very small and the nearest place to shop or get something to eat is probably in Clifton park which is a 30 min drive. The town swings conservative in its political views which can be seen around.
From the neighbors to the parks, this area is excellent for families!
The medical field is great in albany with all of the hospitals.
