It's a very nice area with real community feel; I really like how we have great neighbors on all sides AND across the street! I also feel safe here and can go on walks or ride my bike without any worries. There's a great local market within walking distance and a park with baseball fields just a couple of blocks away where I can go to practice with my brother and Dad.
The residents of Mar Vista are her heart and soul. This community is very close and welcoming. Mar Vista is the little town in the big city, with local shopping and a farmers market mixed in with larger conveniences. We have just a touch of the edgy, artsy, vibe from nearby Venice Beach which can be seen around town in the public art pieces made at the hands of our residents. But aside from it all, are the individuals that give so much to keeping our community grounded in such a fast paced life. The amount of involvement in local community events and within our schools is unlike most towns in busy Los Angeles. Everyone loves to gather and it seems that in all of the activities you'd never find an unfriendly face. Many of the families have lived here for several generations and families new to our neighborhood are welcomed in like they too have always been a part of the community. It's the perfect pocket of charm in the hustle and bustle of West Los Angeles.
Really enjoy living here. It’s a refreshing area away from the city, but still semi-city-like. It’s chill, has a great farmers market, good food, and wonderful people.
