Loring Park is not a friendly community. I haven't figured out why. But, if you like a variety of eaterys, then there's plenty of night life, restaurants and coffee shops. The lifestyle is good, and caters to those that have jobs, cultural, education and a pet friendly environment. This area is great if you need to ride the bus, not too congested for street parking yet shops and stores are close if you prefer to walk. The community is best for single adults or those with no children. But, daycare and middle schools are postioned conviently avaliable for those individuals with families. A safe place to reside with a diversity of ethnicity throughout neighborhood. I like living here in the center of cultural, arts, and theater. To me its the best of city living.
I like Loring Park because it's close to downtown but doesn't feel like apart of it. Parking is easy, the park is kept up, and great running paths. However, there is garbage on the streets, people asking for money when you walk by, and subsidized housing across the road which limits our time outdoors and paths to walk or run.
Loring Park is a gorgeous neighborhood in a great location. It's close to everything - shopping, dining, art, and even school. It's a relatively safe neighborhood too.
