Loch Raven Reviews
I am an immigrant and came to Loch raven. I experienced the most entertaining time of my life here. Me and my mom go for walk at evening and we pass apple and cherry trees, which are spreading colors, the environment is so calm in the evening with soft sounds of birds, and there is so much greenery; many trees next to sidewalk. While driving you will feel like you are in a scenery. Winters are mostly snow but summers are filled with fresh air. But is usually unsafe at night, there was a person who hid in apartment complex’s laundry room and my brother cried the next day, our bicycle got stolen at night. It has diversity and friendly people willing to help you. My mom and I was waiting for Dad to come and a lady gave us ride for free. School for me was the best part, there were many students who were from my country, students were so helpful as I was new and had language issues. I wore my traditional clothes to school, my teachers love them, everyone is eager to know about my culture.
I like the Loch Raven area because it is relatively safe in comparison to many other inner city areas in Baltimore. Baltimore overall is an expensive place to live with not many opportunities to keep up with the constant rise in the cost of living. But the Loch Raven area to me is one of the nicer areas, while still being affordable.
I've been living in the area for 22 years, overall its very convenient. Nothing is too far away from where I live. I'm about 15 minutes from downtown, Towson and white marsh.
