Lauraville is a great neighborhood that blends the best of the city lifestyle and suburban elements in one little area, all within the city limits.

We have lots of trees, grass, space, and wildlife that people usually go to the suburbs to obtain. It is close to shopping, restaurants, bars, and public transportation. It is nestled right next to Morgan State University. You are within walking distance of trails, parks, fishing, and lakes if you like the outdoors.

You live within walking distance of the police and fire stations. They rarely enter inside the neighborhood and when they do, they are very respectful.

The homes usually come with large back and front yards. The streets within the neighborhood are always clean. I love it when the weather is warm and you see everyone beautifying their homes. The homes and ppl are diverse. My favorite aspect, it is all affordable! The city and people are actively investing in the neighborhood and it shows!!

Great place for families with kids. Friendly neighbors. Easy accessibility to downtown, shopping. Transportation is readily available. Quiet tree lined streets
I've lived in this area for my whole life, and it has significantly grown as a community in my eyes. In the past years, more and more charter schools have opened, community gardens have flourished, and it is getting more and more diverse. As for the crime in this area, Baltimore is notoriously portrayed as a dangerous place to live, but I disagree. Certain areas are unarguably dangerous, but my street is a safe haven in the middle of chaos. I still have to keep in mind the ways to be street smart, for no area is completely always safe. Although I am leaving the area for college, I plan to return to reside and raise my family.
