Lakeview is the safest neighborhood in New Orleans. Lakeview is only 15 minutes from the CBD and just minutes away from City Park where you can walk, run, rides bikes, and do many other activities! Lakeview has a local grocery store, lots of small restaurants and small businesses on Harrison Avenue which runs right in the middle of Lakeview. Lakeview is a quiet neighborhood of mostly families or married couples without children.
The thing I would like changed about Lakeview are the roads. The roads in the Lakeview neighborhood are full of pot holes and construction signs without the construction workers. It is so sad to see our beautiful neighborhood littered with these pot holes.

I love the atmosphere. It’s a very easy going neighborhood. Many people are walking their dogs or going for a run early in the morning and late in the after noon.
Safe and walkable. Love the proximity of the park, lakefront, grocery store, and plenty of restaurants. Expensive housing, but very family friendly.
