I am a disabled elderly female and the CDD and fees I have to pay to live here exceed my previous mortgage costs. I paid cash for my condo ten years ago. I thought I had bought security. Now I live in fear and anxiety. I am trying to live on 1/9rh the average income of the people living here yet expected to pay for their tennis courts, swimming pools, golf courses and of utmost importance, the green grass that apparently is the most important to them.
I worked up to 6 jobs at a time to keep a house. The American Dream. I feel betrayed.

Pretty good experience, family friendly community and very safe. Only cons would be lack of diversity and commute to places.
When I first moved to Julington Creek Plantation, it was a very quiet, almost out in the middle of nowhere kind of neighborhood. Over the last 5 years, it has grown so much that new schools needed to be built and new businesses have come to the area. While I understand this is a good thing for the market, it has taken away from the close and quiet place we loved. JCP is beautiful, the homeowners are friendly and the area is safe. The community amenity center offers a pool, workout room, fitness classes, babysitting, lifeguard training and rentals for parties, etc. Some of the restrictions placed on homeowners are a bit over the top, considering we are paying hefty dues to live here. The schools are all amazing A rated schools! The commute time is about 30-45 minutes to get anywhere. The cost of living is middle to higher income levels as there are many different neighborhoods within the plantation. Overall, JCP is a great family oriented community.
