John Barrow Reviews
The John Borrow Community has significantly improved from about three years ago. The street I reside on is fairly quiet and neighbors are respectful of each other. I see a few police cars every so often which give a sense of awareness but they are generally just cruising through. There are no thugs that hang out on the porches and residents int he community are either retired like myself or working. i like that I have close assess to West Little Rock since most of the stores I shop at like Wholes Food, Kroger's and the newly anticipated Trader's Joes:) Since I live in a wooded area the temperature around John Borrow is generally four to five degrees cooler than downtown Little Rock. Very little houses for sales which shows stability. House prices are rising but at a moderate pace. All in all, I think the John Borrow community with it close assess to hospitals, University Drive , Kanis Road and Chanal is very underrated and a good community in general.
Decent and very affordable neighborhood, well located on the west side of Little Rock. Very walkable in some areas (twin lakes) and close to the hospital, good school (Parkview magnet), grocery and shopping centers. People are friendly and welcoming, it is diverse and the weather is great all year long. There are a few minor crimes here and there, but nothing major and it doesn't outweigh the benefits this place has to offer. Overall I love it and recommended it. Lived here a little over a year now.
Its okay, I feel safe enough to go outside but not to take a nice run throughout my neighborhood.
