Some things that I like about Jamaica Plain is its cozy and diverse neighborhood. This neighborhood had majority Hispanic or latinos however its diversity extend to Blacks, Asians, Whites, and more. When comes to Nightlife especially during weekends, many people would go to restaurants to eat and spend time with friends and family. The real estate price of this place is reasonably cheap compared to other neighborhood in Boston. There is only a few downfalls to this neighborhood. It gets noisy sometimes during the day where you have people selling stuffs on a van and sometimes during the night when you have many car drivers intended to boom their speakers at the back of their car. It is also dirty in all its surrounding.

Jamaica Plain is by far the best neighborhood in Boston. I have lived in Jamaica Plain my entire life, and it is hard to be bored here. Centre Street is the "main street" of JP, and it has a variety of stores and restaurants that people come to even if they don't necessarily live in JP. There are a lot of parks in Jamaica Plain. Most of the Emerald Necklace, the parks system designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, is here in JP. There is also easy access to transportation. A busy bus route runs down Centre Street, and Forest Hills Station is a major bus and train station. Although Forest Hills is not the cleanest station, it and the area around it has been remodeled recently. JP is a great place for families, there were a lot of other kids on my street growing up and it is a very friendly place to live.
Jamaica plain embodies a not-too-urban neighborhood without missing out on the pros of living in the city. It is a neighborhood in Boston, not directly in the middle of the city where the high population is apparent and sirens and ambulances are always loud. It is a perfect place to reside as a family or an individual because the train and bus is very accessible, it is very diverse, and the job market is hot. The low rating of safety is due to the general safety rating of the city of Boston, but JP is actually pretty safe. There is also a very nice pond for a run or to spend time by.
