The neighborhood is safe. There are many convenient stores and amenities available in the area. Friendly area! Family friendly, pet friendly, street parking is horrible. Many local restaurants with good food . Neighborhood is being gentrified. May ppl leaving due to expensive housing.
Since childhood I have created so many memories in Jamaica, with my family & surrounding community. I received my first public school education within the neighborhood, I made my first friends with the neighbors' children, & the plethora of roaming stray cats - which my family fed constantly! I have created so many memories here such as learning to ride my bicycle training-wheels free, picking
vast sunflower plants twice my size & learning to ride the school bus. Jamaica has definitely developed throughout the years & has provided greater value to its residents such as offering more institutions, like St John's University from which I graduated.
I would love to see my neighborhood flourish further with gym clubs, safer public parks & healthier food options. I hope to have this vision for my neighborhood come to past & to have its residents indulge in everything Jamaica has to offer.

I've lived in Jamaica for years, and the experience of growing here has been one of a kind. Every place has its pros and cons, but there is a lot to enjoy in Jamaica. What I really enjoy is the diversity of the people, their expression of flavorful cultures foods, and traditions. I learn from them every day!
