Hyde Park Reviews
Rating 4.8 out of 5 10 reviews
Hyde Park is a good neighborhood to live in. It's safe, there's good food, and is a good place to start a family. There's a lot of facilities nearby, like the public library, the Cincinnati Children's Hospital is nearby, you can go to Ault Park or go on a walk on Wasson Way, etc.
Hyde Park is a friendly enclave that is close enough to the action of Cincinnati to be exciting. With all the benefits of "in town" urban living, the neighborhood also offers a "small town" feel. Life here is convenient, comfortable and safe. Schooling is a challenge, with limited secondary options. However, numerous Catholic and non-denominational schools provide opportunities at varied price points for education. Real estate taxes are high.
Hyde Park is the perfect place for a young professional family with a dog, everyone has a dog. There are excellent local bars, shops and restaurants and the locals are extremely friendly and they look out for each other. When we had our baby boy, practically everyone that lived within a block from us brought us baby outfits, toys and meals to welcome him. That’s the kind of neighborhood this is. It’s also very safe, I’m a smaller female and I feel comfortable going on walks or runs before the sun is up or late at night.
