Everything in the humbolt neighborhood is within walking distant. We are a block away from alberta and williams, as well as being 3 blocks away from Mississippi. It is a good looking quiet neighborhood (besides skidmore traffic) with many old craftsman style homes and remnants of its black past. I do not like the affluence overcoming this area. Owners are tearing down beautiful historic homes to make way for condos and apartments. With the overwhelming surge of affluence the rent prices keep going up. Good luck finding a living situation here if you dont have a higher paying job or multiple roommates.

Close to a lot, middle of the city and easy access to transportation if needed. Does have heavy traffic during rush hour and bicyclist on the roads.
This area is watched by police for criminal activity. There is a little gang activity and substance abuse, but rarely are there crimes committed between strangers. Many locals have lived here for a long time and keep an eye out for one another. I mostly feel unsafe/skeptical with those not from this neighborhood.
