This is a very diverse neighborhood. Many people move to the area with the dreams of working in entertainment. With this said there is always opportunities to participate or enjoy great entertainment. Food and shopping are also amazing in this area!
Amazing walking score of 97/100 and tons of things to do: The Hollywood Bowl, Comedy Theater, Movie Theater, Jazz Bar, Roosevelt Hotel, The Greek Theater, El Capitan, The Magic Castle. Also not to far away is the gay night scene in West Hollywood.
Hollywood hosts a variety of diverse city terrain - from Franklin Village's trendy hipster strip, to the tourist areas, to the more lush and serene pockets at the base of the Hollywood Hills. I love being able to walk into whichever type of experience for whichever activity I am partaking in. I feel that the neighborhood's greatest issue is the homelessness. This is Los Angeles, however, and in most neighborhoods it is truly unavoidable. The tourist attractions and landmarks draw lots of traffic and crowds as well, which can be rather aggravating to deal with when you are running errands.
