We have lived in Highland Terrace for almost 3 years now. It's a pretty quiet neighborhood and love all of the families that take walks all the time. The diversity of the Richardson as a whole is fantastic! It makes the food options nearby so different with all of the different cultures. At any time, we can have Meditteranean, Indian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Morrocan, and Mexican food just to name a few! We have great neighbors on our street and it's been nice seeing all of the younger families moving in. We are in our 40s and have neighbors of all ages and we all look out for each other. As for nightlife, there are some fun bars around but Dallas is about a 20-minute drive either to Addison or to Uptown area so it's a quick Uber ride if you want to go to areas like that.
Been here for a little over 10 years and I love living here. Location is literally backyard to Dallas proper. Easy access to 75 and a 10 min drive to downtown or a quick train ride (straight shot).
My neighbor hood is nice, it is tuning over in age. A lot of younger couples are moving in with young children, but a lot of people are tearing down the old cute houses and building huge houses in their place.
