The city is raging with people of different ethnic backgrounds, age, and socioeconomic status. There is an influx of college students due to the CSULB campus, and the beach. There is also a large population of migrant workers which contributes to the diversity of ethnic groups. I will continue to live here because there is always something going on and the hustle and bustle of Long Beach is wonderful. There are options for shopping, community resources, and socializing everywhere. There is nothing like living in the heart of Los Angeles and Orange County, while miles from the beach and minutes to the mountains. It is the best! For the future, I for see more independent schools developing, community building between young adults and social services, community development, and more grocery stories.

Most popular stores in my area would be the liquors; they have them at almost every corner. They definitely have different types of items in each of them, but overall they are alike. There are many varieties of local stores. From grocery stores, gas stations, liquors, to retail. The biggest company i would say there is locally are, Wal Mart, Mc Donalds, Rite Aid, Walgreens, ect.. All the mom and pop shops there is to go too. I would most definately say you can get everything in this area. Children and teens would enjoy having the liquors at every corner due to all the snacks and drinks they provide for them.
There are many small convenience stores and bakeries within walking distance a person can find every basic necessity for survival, and social activities. A few businesses on the same street include a bar, donut shop, Chinese cuisine, Mexican food, pharmacy, and even a Rally's. The selection is great, but this particular area can be dangerous if one is not familiar with it.
