Riverside is home! I was born and raised here and it is amazing. Sure in the summers it can get a little hotter than most places in California, but the beach, Disneyland, and great shopping centers are only 45 minutes away. I never feel insecure or scared about walking around in my neighborhood, even at night. I love to hike around Mount Rubidoux or visit surrounding hiking areas. People in Riverside are incredibly nice, there are so many mega churches here and the general feeling here is positive.

There have recently been some crimes in certain neighborhoods, mostly robberies. That does cause some concern, however not in my neighborhood. I see some policeman, but not excessively usually just writing a speeding ticket or something trivial.
There are many chain-food restaurants and boutiques, but not many large companies. The jobs people usually get pay minimal wage. It is rare for someone to get a better, higher paying job from working anywhere in Riverside.
