This area is not the best but it also isn't the worst. There are very good schools, easily accessible public transportation, and a wonderful diverse culture. However, crime is increasing rapidly making this area intolerable to live in. While there are many good factors making people stay, all the shootings and thefts make us wonder if staying and risking our lives is truly worth it.

Well the the department of social services and dmv are horrible in area. The workers do not appreciate helping people when they're job entails them to have high quality social skills when it comes to submitting information for food stamps, health insurance, motor vehicle issues. Our city needs more qualified and disciplined workers and need to improve our society as well. Our mayor needs to reach out to poor parts of our neighborhood and instill ethics of living a life which provides upward mobility for future generations of people living in jersey city.
