The area in which I live in is great because it's location is close to the near big city of Seattle which would be convenient for commuters who work in Seattle without the limitations of living in a big city. Also, this neighborhood is not loud or hectic at night, so you will be in a quiet area with nice neighbors and compared to the rest of the country, this area is peaceful. The future of this area I believe is bright, with Amazon.com building a new distribution center not too far away, it'll draw Amazon employees to live in this area to be closer to their workplace.

All things in perspective, crime isn't as terrible as some big cities but there's definitely been a (public) increase in crime. Just a few miles away there's been a number of shootings in the past couple weeks. On top of that, reports of prowlers have been made recently.
I've personally experienced creepy people "lingering", if you will. Honked at me and my sister, followed us. Very strange and uncomfortable.
