Green Lake Reviews

Green Lake is a beautiful little neighborhood that is right in the heart of Seattle. I recall going swimming there since before I can remember. The sense of community and love that the people have for it is outstanding, and in most cases, rare. It is a great part of Seattle that is surrounded by restaurants and shops which is always fun. Green lake is also easy access to other main roads that are supper fundamental to getting around the big city. I am proud to have grown up in the Green Lake area.
I live on Woodlawn in the north end of Greenlake, and i think that the area itself is awesome. The park is so close, that during the summer, it’s almost impossible to stay indoors all day. Its an arms reach away from various restaurants and the local PCC grocery store. It also has the pros of public transportation that can get you almost anywhere you want.
However Seattle is still an urban center and has its own problems, very few of these things are reflected in this neighborhood. Every once in awhile there will be drunk/homeless/druggie people yelling around the street, and there are a lot of sirens, but other than that it’s not too bad. These things are somehing that are pretty easy to get used to.

Progressive and nice for outdoor activities. Nice to be by water. Many activities. Stores within walking distance. Very cozy neighborhood. Somewhat safe feel for north Seattle.
