Area is growing popularity. Along with great paths and green spaces! With big community projects in the works.
I liked that Greater Inwood is a quiet nice neighborhood that has a lot of friendly people living in the area. However, I would like to see more activities for the kids to come out and be more active and mingle with each other. Even though there are a lot of kids who live in the area, many of us do not know each other on a personal level because we are to busy on our phones and we will not go outside. Therefore, I think if there were more activities for both kids and teens to do in the neighborhood, then we could all get along and it could be a much happier neighborhood.
My experience with Greater Inwood is bittersweet. The entire neighborhood of Inwood West is in desperate need of updating. People drive fast through the community, making it dangerous to take leisurely walks through the area. The area has lots of families and is relatively quiet at night. Food and shopping are plentiful, and modern conveniences are at your fingertips. However, I-45 and 290 are always heavily congested, making the compute to and from town unbearable. I would like to see the completion of the widening of I-45 and 290. I think those improvements will make Greater Inwood a fabulous place to live.
