This has never been a very safe neighborhood but it was very family oriented. Everyone knew each other and was here for each other. But gentrification is starting to happen and the more "up and coming" this neighborhood becomes, the more segregated it becomes. The residents that have been here for years are starting to lose their homes and livelihoods to gentrifications. It's sad to see.

It's really a horrible experience for someone who is not from the area. I've grown to get used to somethings in the area and know what to avoid. It's a very high crime area that includes drug trafficking, murder, theft, and property destruction. Police presence is present but not very effective to deal with the high crime. I've grew up in the area so I don't regret living here just over the years it has gotten worser. I know he things myself that should be fixed to make it a viable place to live where citizens of the community can be active.
