I really love the Friendship neighborhood! I moved from a large city to Pittsburgh recently and must say that I am enjoying the smaller town vibes. Friendship feels like a community and the houses/gardens are lovely. There is a lot to do and see within walking distance and I have never felt unsafe walking alone at night.
Friendship is truly a neighborhood. Most people actually know who their neighbors are and socialize with them. The Flower festival, Progressive dinner, First Friday Art and entertainment, House Tour and many other events provide many opportunities to meet neighbors. We are right between two neighborhoods ranked as the coolest in the nation and they are packed with walking distance restaurants and entertainment venues. Friendship is lined with stately Victorian houses and has a diverse population. We are centrally located to hospitals, universities and public transportation. Friendship is great city neighborhood.
A quiet, close-knit community-feel drew me to Friendship in Pittsburgh, PA. The greenery at every nook of the neighborhood allows for peaceful transitions to any and all seasons. Neighbors are friendly; there is always someone walking an excitable pup. It has been my favorite neighborhood I have ever lived in to date.
