Fremont has a reputation as a hip, quirky neighborhood in Seattle and it does not disappoint. I have lived here nearly 6months and have enjoyed every minute of it! From the quirky shops and landmarks, the periodic hint of chocolate in the air (emanating from the Theo Chocolate factory) to the plethora of great coffee shops and bars.... Fremont is fantastic.

Not a terrible place, certainly, there are many amenities to enjoy here. Good places to eat are particularly abundant. Parking, and access along metro lines however, not so much. Flying Apron to me is a standout as far as bakeries go in the area. Never mind that they're gluten free, yours truly never notice the difference between their offerings and me traditional establishments. Take your kids there, then head up the street to the Woodland Park Zoo for a day out.
Overall, very happy with the neighborhood. There aren't too many shops/restaurants outside of the downtown strip, but its a very pretty area.

Seems very safe, not too many reasons to stay in after dark which is nice because you can get some great city views at night when you go for walks in the area.
