Queens is an incredibly diverse borough, and a ride on the Q44 can prove just that. Starting on the cross section of union turnpike and main street you are greeted with one of the only kosher dunkin donuts in Queens. Hop on the Q44 going towards flushing main street you will pass by kissena park, botanical gardens, and an abundance of asian cuisines! The neighborhood life is very calm and diverse! There are a couple of schools in the area including Queens college, Townsend High school, and PS 164 (elementary, middle school, and junior high).

I love living in Flushing for the food and liveliness near Main St., but also for the relatively quiet/residential areas that residents can retreat to when they go home at night. Rent is very affordable if you go slightly away from Main Street. Transportation/access to Midtown Manhattan is easier than it seems, plus the LIRR can take you to Penn Station in about 20 minutes!
I love the combination of city life and suburban life! There is always something to do and somewhere to go, all while being able to have a quiet neighborhood. I love the easy access to transportation! I have access to all types of MTA transportation, with the bus stop to my school only a block away, and the Long Island Rail Road a few blocks away enabling me to get to where I need to be in a reasonable amount of time.
