Fishtown - Lower Kensington Reviews
Fishtown is a unique pocket of Philadelphia filled with interesting people, great food, and a sense of belonging. Artists and musicians about in this part of town, and there is always something fun to do. From community building activities like public gardens and block parties to live music and movie screenings, there is a true sense of neighborliness in this area. I only recently moved to this area and already feel incredibly at home. Lots of puppies everywhere is a big bonus! Everywhere you go you can meet a new friend or neighbor, and you will never run out of hip coffee joints or good beer. Love it in Fishtown!
It is still North Philadelphia. This side of Girard Av. is just not for me and my family. This is for a younger crowd who just can not afford to live in a better area. They live here for a year or two and move on. Taxes are going up with no better services. New construction pays no taxes and our property taxes are going higher and higher. NOT FAIR!
Fishtown is beautiful! There are a lot of families, great food spots, and perfect housing locations.
