Far North Reviews
Having four seasons is great! Summers are usually on the humid side though, but not unbearably, and there are plenty of public sources of swimming and cooling off. Winters are not very difficult, with a few decent snows through-out the season. The roads are kept in pretty decent shape, and the community is mindful of treating schools and public areas accordingly with the weather. Spring and Fall are the highlights of this area, as the local flora is always so vibrant and rich in color. Overall, a good experience through-out all four seasons.
There is a good mix of high-density housing in affordable price ranges to pricey, mid-level family homes (single detached), and historic/older homes. The high-density housing is primarily well kept, and most offer great amenities like a pool and exercise room. The mid-level family homes are kept neat and the community feels strongly about appearance, and it shows. There are a lot of older homes and some historic properties and some are in beautiful condition or are being used as retail, and these add significantly to the community perspective. This area really is a beautiful area to live in.
There are an abundance of local parks and nature areas with various activities. Children's playgrounds are common, pet activity areas are common, park benches and picnic areas are common. Lakes and green areas are abundant. There are plenty of activities such as kayaking and skiing. I'm unaware of any pollution concerns, including noise from surrounding highways at the park/nature areas.
