I love how central Eastside Costa mesa is to everything. You have all connecting Frwy's close by. You have the beach just 5+mins away, and great restaurants all over.

My only issue with Costa Mesa is the homeless, and drug addicts that contstantly roam around breaking into cars, homes, not to mention Sober Living Homes everywhere. If they would bulldoze Newport Blvd south of 19th and 55fwy that would be a start :).

I have lived on the East side of Costa Mesa for over 25 years. Before that
I lived on the West side of Costa Mesa. The East side has everything I m looking for in a neighborhood. I am close to all shops, parks and entertainment
venues. The neighbors are kept clean & houses well kept. I feel safe in
my area and enjoy meeting others that live there. There is an Eastside
neighborhood chat section on the computer that tells everything that is going on, items for sale & questions for our neighbors - where all can answer.
The Eastside is the place for me to live.
Everything you could possibly need is available in a 5-mile radius. The CA-55 freeway runs down the middle of Costa Mesa and terminates where Triangle Square is located. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on 19th and Newport Boulevard and the Newport Peninsula is less than a mile away. There are lots of grocery stores on Harbor Boulevard, as well as those located on 17th street. Most are large chain markets like Ralphs and Vons, but there are a few mom-and-pop grocery stores, such as Promeli's Market and Irvine Ranch Market. As for the food options, the usual chains like Del Taco, Jack in the Box, and Wendy's pepper the area, but there a lots of smaller family owned restaurants as well. A couple great family owned shops are Beach Pit BBQ and Mossimo's Pizza. There are also several drug stores, dry cleaners, convenience stores, and many, many boutique clothing shops and salons in the surrounding area. It's a safe place to live and a great place to have grown up in.
