Queen Anne definitely benefits from being safe and quiet. With most of the bars isolated by the Key Arena area away from the residential neighborhoods I don't experience much noise or foot traffic through the neighborhood.
I enjoy Queen Anne's central location. I was able to find large full house rentals for shared living out here that makes my rent significantly cheaper than it was in Capital Hill. Commuting is easy with 5 buses coming within blocks of my house and very short walks to South Lake Union and Belltown. There is more nightlife here than there used to be but I would say that is what Queen Anne lacks the most. Lots of nearby daytime activities with Lake Union and the Seattle Center so close by though.
This area has little to no crime, police close by
In the Queen Anne area there is a wide variety of retail positions available, and considering the recent developments I would assume that these areas are needed more employees which is a good opportunity for anyone looking for a job.
Overall, the community itself is great. However, I don't personally get involved much because I am still a student and I work as a nanny. But, whenever I see community members interacting, there is a sense of respect that can be seen.
There is a good amount of safety measures taken, however, crimes still occur on a regular basis.
In this part of Washington, we get to experience each season individually. However, some years, the seasons run together, resulting in some summery days in spring or freezing cold days in summer.
I think many people can find various different types of jobs here. For instance, there are quite a few different new businesses opening that could provide jobs for any residents living in this area. However, I think most of the people who live in this area work in the downtown area of Seattle.
The staff is always great. Food is quality. Tons of variety. Love the small shops and restaurants
There are so many growing and start-up companies that it's a great place to be for computer science, technology, etc. However, everyone wants the exact same jobs it seems. Most people work for large companies like Microsoft, etc.
