In the area where i'm staying, there are still shooting happened but the polices act responsively and solve the case fairly and effectively. Same with some areas in downtown Seattle where lots of homeless people are staying, but again, the polices are really responsive and solve the chaos really well
The Rainier Beach area is very convenient I'd say. There are a lot of fast food restaurants and stores you could go to. They also have a community pool and activities center which is great for everyone. You could tell the area is getting some upgrades and it looks better than before. There are some cons, however, I think the pro's slightly greater than the cons because they are improving. In my living area, it is fairly quiet but there are a lot of hills.
Various housing availability with different prices that fit with the quality of housing. Overall, the rent is quite appropriate compare to other states in the U.S.
