Very up & coming. It has increased alot in the last view years and whenever downtown gets better this area gets better. I think that buying a house in this area is a good investment. It seems as though as downtown expands west of the river this becomes a more hip area. Hopefully bringing in young professionals who would like to rent/own a house near downtown.

Just about a month ago there was a threat of an active shooter on campus. Nothing major ever happened. Out university put everyone on lock down and the police were notified right away about the incident. I felt like security handled the situation well, and now hopefully everyone on campus is more aware and prepared for incidents such as this.
The college campus I live on is very nice, but the neighborhood around the university is not as nice and well maintained. Worrying about safety has only been an issue a few times, luckily our campus security is around at all times and that helps to obtain some peace of mind.
