Delaney Park Reviews
Rating 3 out of 5 3 reviews
Delaney Park is a pretty family-oriented neighborhood with easy access to downtown Orlando and is zoned for excellent public schools. Unfortunately, the neighborhood is not as diverse as its surrounding areas, making it seem like a juxtaposition of the haves and the have nots. In addition, commuting in and out can be a bit of a pain with traffic. You will also quickly notice that walking to a coffee shop or restaurant is not as easy as you would think for a "downtown" neighborhood.
Living in Delaney Park is the first time in my life that I've been truly satisfied in a living situation. The area is the perfect mixture of beautiful, quaint and eclectic. Only complaint is that the cost of housing in Orlando is absolutely ridiculous.
HORRIBLE. The residents of the community are rude and entitled. Often times I would wave and they would literally just stare… I mean how hard is it to raise your hand and move it side to side?
We never felt safe, things were stolen off our property. Sketchy people walking around often.
The public school was OK at best. The parents of the community throw money at the school so they can control events and school politics. One of the families that has lived in the area for generations runs the annual award ceremonies so they can award their children and the children of the families in their friend groups in front of the whole school and invited guests. While the kids and families that did not know to follow this formula designed by the “have’s”(if that’s what you want to call them) have to sit and watch the same children receive award after award. I guess this makes them feel special?
The parents are old bro mentality men and miserable housewives that get sloppy drunk.
