I have lived in Hampton Va on Kecoughtan road my whole life and I have to say I love it. This area is a great place to raise children it is very close to some really great schools and the neighbors are really friendly. One of my favorite things to do in my neighborhood is go on walks. We are just two blocks away from a lovely waterfront that has benches, swings and lots of trees for shade. I've seen people walk their dog, go on family bike rides it truly a beautiful spot.

I think there a lot of things we could do to improve it more like more parks that are walking distance, and we have a lot of empty spaces that can be used to build things like small community centers or use for small family business but overall I think the atmosphere is wonderful and I would definitely live here again.

Most of the time, the weather around here is amazing. In the winter time, it can get cold, but being from the mountains, 30 degrees is not bad. The primary problems around here are flooding and the lack of preparation for snowstorms. Snow is always going to affect the commute, especially when there is a lot of it. Hampton Roads is not prepared for major snow storms, and anything over 2 inches makes things problematic. On the issue of flooding, if there is a very heavy rain, expect flooding; that's what you get with living on the coast.
The crime here is somewhat indifferent. It is hard to describe the crime because since the city I live in is small, people now a lot of people in the surrounding cities. It is considered the seven cities in Virginia. To take into to account every city then of course it would be high. However in the city of Hampton alone I'd say it's the lowest out of the cities.
