Crown Hill Reviews
It's a very welcoming atmosphere. While there are lots of traffic and noise going on, it is a convenient location for buses, grocery stores, downtown Ballard with all the great and cute restaurants, schools, and parks. It's not as loud or filled with homeless people as downtown Seattle is, and the people are generally really friendly. It's definitely growing and I can see it looking much nicer and more developed. I would definitely live here again if I could. The main reason I can't is because it's getting really expensive living in Ballard.
The police are visible and I hear them all the time going back and forth, so hopefully they're doing their job. I do feel safe walking around during the day, though not so much at night, I have found some sketchy people lurking around sometimes. Otherwise it's pretty safe. The people are generally really nice and are more like family people in the neighbor.
This is a wonderful family Friendly Neighborhood. The schools are great and there are many parks and playgrounds near by. You can walk to most things you need and there are a variety of stores near by. It is also a very safe neighborhood. I almost always feel safe no matter the time of day. The down side is that rent is crazy expensive and it isn't very diverse.
