I live in a peaceful community on the east side of Tucson where the residents generally feel safe. However, as unexpected as rain fall in this city, crime has spontaneously sprouted up. My neighbor has been broken into multiple times, gun shot followed by police sirens have became a normality and constant rumors amongst the youth of the community about a "crack house" at the end of the neighborhood. My community lives in a constant roller coaster ride of peace and absurd terror, in which the terror has became a swift shoulder shrug and going about with our daily lives.
Especially where I live, the neighborhood here is okay really. There have been some suspicious people around the area. Where I live, there was two attempted break-ins and the vehicle my parents owned were broken-in.
A lot of gunshots are heard in the middle of the night, helicopters circle the area frequently, some registered sex offenders, suspicious people, the smell of drugs in houses, people slowing down and looking at me while I'm walking to the bus stop on my way to school.
