It is great. I love it. It is the best neighborhood in DC. The people are so generous and caring. The recreation center is a peaceful place and it´s just a safe environment. Especially for tourists!

I have long had serious criticisms about how Congress Heights was changing and gentrifying.

But one thing I will say is that the area is safer now. While I always loved this place, I thought that I would eventually have to move away when I had kids. I have a daughter now and I feel like I can raise her here now.
It's the most afford housing area in DC. People are friend and look out for each other. Most currently, my block win a beautification contest. This organization will make residence who sign a waiver's yard look beautiful.
