Como (Minneapolis) Reviews
A college community with many local businesses. Lots of great people and parks/nature. Very urban. The Como neighborhood is a mix of college students, families and elderly people. There are a lot of places for rent, however, it is necessary to be smart of the sketchy landlords who will scam you or just not care about their properties and tenants. I really like living around Como because there are a lot of coffee shops, there are great restaurants, a really good public transportation system, and it is pretty family friendly overall. It is close to the UMN campus as well as St. Paul. It is a centric location.
It is a little far from campus, but the area is nice, and I like the people who live near here. The houses are a bit old though, it could use some renovation and community bonding.
I hear a lot about crime alerts happening in this area, and I wish the streets were better lit. I also never see police near here.
