Such a great place to live! Everything you need is in walking distance: Natural Grocer’s, the Post Office, Talulah Jones (the most unique and delightful gift shop), Las Margs for Mexican food on the patio, swanky restaurants on 17th, and long-standing concert venues that make Denver great. In need of a park? City Park, Cheeseman Park, and quaint green spaces are all in walking distance and Washington Park is a short drive away. 16th Ave’s “Green Mile” bike lane can take you from East High to Downtown in 10 minutes. And if, for some strange reason, you still find yourself without plans, a tree-line stroll will deliver you to the Turnverein for dance classes in Argentine Tango, Salsa, Swing and ballroom. Love it here!
Absolutely love City Park West. It is one of the oldest and most historic neighborhoods in Denver, retaining all of the charm, mature foliage, and beautiful architecture - while also mixing the convenience of location, hip and trendy restaurants, and arguably the "best" centrally located location in the city. The community is super close, friendly, and welcoming. I love the care that all of the homes put into their homes and gardens. I also feel so safe in this neighborhood, which was a bit surprising being so close to Colfax.
When I was going to the University of the Rockies in Denver, Colorado I visited this area. It was beautiful and entertaining, the downtown was safe and clean while the people were friendly and helpful. The business district was bustling and a large variety of restaurants to chose from. The abundance of green space with areas of flowers and trees. Many of the people were very polite and interested in where you were from and eager to show some good place to eat and stay. I found that when i was confused or a little lost the people were right there to help me. The parks and museums were easy to locate and getting a taxi was no problem any hour of the day or night. This city is very nice and hospitable, I would recommend it to anyone visiting Denver. Anyone that would like more information just contact me.
