There are some problematic areas, generally in neighborhoods that have so many trees covering light that it creates a lot of cover for people to sneak around at night. Areas that are well lit tend to be surprisingly better.

Honestly, the biggest perk is that the rent is cheap, but still close enough to Oregon that you can get a lot of cheap shopping done. Plus, Washington does not have income tax (Oregon takes out an extra 10% due to it)
