There is an obvious separation of seasons here. Spring is mild temperatures, rain, and everything is in bloom. The summers are generally very hot and sunny. There are endless options to enjoy the sunlight and beautiful weather when we have it! Lots of water sports and outdoor activies. Fall is absolutely beautiful and full of colors, and winter is lovely even though it's difficult to get through. There is lots of shoveling that needs to be done because of the heavy snowfull. Driving can be very dangerous because of icy roads and snowstorms. Winter slows things down significantly- every commute takes about two or three times what it would with no snow on the ground. You definitely need a surplus of warm clothes for the winter-boots, long underwear, sweaters, socks, coats, scarves, and mittens.
There are all different types of local businesses, ice cream shops, health stores, restaurants, you name it, it's there and everything is great quality and service.
Absolutely beautiful houses, especially around the lakes. Lots of styles present, and a very healthy variation in sizes.
