I like living in Carverdale because of the people. Everyone looks out for each other, and most people in the neighborhood grew up together. While Carverdale is considered a neighborhood, most of the streets have outside businesses on them. This creates traffic and destroys the streets. I would love to see some of these businesses relocate elsewhere. I would also like to see the public services based in the neighborhood, actually serve the neighborhood. For example, there is a police and fire department based in the neighborhood. However, these departments don't service the neighborhood. Overall Carverdale is a safe neighborhood with a low crime rate. The morale of the community is the real charm of Carverdale.
Honestly, the area is very nice. The crime rate isn't insanely high and overall I feel very safe in my home and neighborhood. The YMCA offers great service to the community, whether it be adults or children. I would definitely choose to live here again if given the choice. In the future I see many developments and even greater community service.
The neighborhood I live in is o.k. but honestly if I would have been able to make a decision ten years a go I would have chosen another area to live in.
