I have lived in Canarsie for the entirety of my life, and truly feel like it is underrepresented. The neighborhood is beautiful, with great amenities at your fingertips. The houses are gorgeous, and there is easy accessible transportation all around. It has been nothing short of amazing, and when living here, you gain a sense of community with everybody--even if they are not your neighbor. People truly care for and look out for one another in Canarsie, and for that, it is an incredible neighborhood.

A canarsie is a small community that is family oriented with its ups and downs. The seaview park offers a beautiful view with cycle paths, work out equipment, children friendly play grounds, hiking paths, and a link to the Canarsie Pier-that's perfect grounds for fishing. The small but sufficient avenue L strip overs an array of community based stores that includes family owned businesses such as restaurants and grocery stores.
Canarsie is a predominantly Afro-Caribbean community centered around family and culture. The people here are able to express themselves and their identity with food, culture, language, and fashion.
