There are nice schools and parks in the area. It is close to stores without being too noisy. Very close to downtown Los Gatos.
I was born in San Jose. Have lived in Cambrian 95124 since a baby in 1958. . Growing up there was so nice, orchards , open land, lots of families and kids to play with . Great schools. But all that is changing once Santa Clara Co. became *Silicon Valley* Once people from other states, countries started to come in. We now live and raised 3 kids here. Our kids went to Branham HS, like my husband did.
We live in Cambrian and I still think it is one of the nicest areas of SJ. A lot of shopping, restaurants nearby. Library is close. Very walkable area. We have the fire dept right down the street Highway 85 is nearby. The cambrian K to 8th grade school system here is the best the HS district, is good also. Lots of dog parks.
The negative is the cost of living here, way too high, homes are too pricey. More crime is happening here.
As we are getting closer to retirement, we are going to sell the home and move to a small town.

Cambrian is a friendly city, with cool weather and suitable for various activities especially for studies. The inhabitants of this place are so innovative that they believe in networking with others. In this way, people become creative and share their valuable ideas with others.
However, this place has few varieties of food. As an African, I expected to find my favorite dish which i did not. Therefore, I expect Cambrian to do much better on food varieties next time.

While nothing too serious has occurred, there have been a few robberies in the past ten years.
My parents bought the house I live in before I was born and chose to raise a family in it. My neighborhood has proved to be an excellent place to grow up with outstanding schools, providing a safe place to play, and giving me a community of neighbors and friends to turn to.
I really like the are in general most people are very nice. I would definitely still live where I do now I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I would rank this area with an 8 because its crime rate is way lower than other places.
We've never had a break in and I haven't heard of one in my neighborhood since moving in.
I love living in the neighborhood that I live in. It's right by a park, my high school wasn't too far away, and there is always something to do within a five-ten minute drive of my house.
Every once in a while, I spot police cruising the streets around my neighborhood. It's probably for standard patrols. In my 20 years that I have lived here, only maybe twice has anything "bad ever happened." That's a pretty low number for so many years. Going out to my nearby place of work, I seem to always spot at least one officer between my drive to and from home. I can say with confidence that this is a safe community I live in.
Recently we've had a big increase in package theft in our area. Also, break ins seem to be on the rise. It does cause some anxiety to read about thefts that are occurring pretty regularly in or around the area we live.
We live in a pretty nice area. We're very close to both the elementary school and middle school in our district. The cost of living in this area is very difficult and expensive. Home values/prices are soaring and a lot of good neighbors are moving & leaving the area. A few new restaurants have opened up nearby recently, which is very nice. Overall, we're very close to everything we need: food, malls, groceries, gas, etc. It's very convenient.
I had my car broken in once, but it was old and was an easy car to steal. Cops came and took a statement. I also had a watch stolen that I left out over night. The neighborhood is not impenetrable to crime, but generally there is no problems.
Willow Glen area is nice, its only 40 minutes to the beach. The public schools are Ok and neighborhoods are quiet.
I do love this area! It's where I grew up and I have SO many amazing memories here. I will say that this area booming and becoming Silicon Valley does have some negative effects though. The traffic is getting terrible, crime is going up, and rents are so high that it is driving long-time residents out of the area! Tech people are moving here from all over the world and it is shoving out people who have called this place home for many years. I hope we can save our city! This little area is still great and I hope it stays that way!
I love being in the bay area, but if I would prefer to be in a neighborhood like Los Gatos or Willowglen. Robertsville Square (neighborhood in between Almaden and Willowglen) is okay depending on which street you live on, but some streets are dilapidated and not necessarily the safest.
I would choose to live here again because this is my home and where I have grown up. The negatives about living in San Jose is because the crime rate is always continuing to go up and also the cost of living is very high.
This neighborhood is quite pleasant - it's tucked between two highly desirable, affluent areas of San Jose - Willow Glen and Almaden. But this area is a tiny bit more affordable than those areas without sacrificing safety or a pleasant aesthetic.
