I feel like Brighton Park is a pretty average neighborhood in Chicago. We have gun and gang violence and over crowding. Our elementary and middle schools are not well funded, and sometimes it feels like the teachers don't care. Although, that isn't their fault sine the kids and parents don't seem to care most of the time. I wouldn't recommend walking alone at night if you don't want to get jumped. The neighbors are very friendly if you get to know them. It can be very beautiful while being awful at the exact same time. If you have money don't move here, but if somehow you find yourself moving in, be prepared for some pretty caring neighbors.

I have grown up in the Brighton Park area. While it is not the safest neighborhood it is not too dangerous. There are a lot of great people and it is becoming safer as teenagers begin to grow up. There are many restaurants and bakeries, among other local businesses.
The Orange line runs through Brighton Park and there are several bus stops all along the main streets.
Brighton Park has some very friendly people! They always smile and greet each other and the neighbors here are mindful of you. They also help when you need assistance or have any questions.
