I moved into this area into this area at about 6 years ago. I based my desicion on location, safety , community, and the upside on my homes value. I have to say I'm still very happy with my reasons for living in this part of Philadelphia. The people here are very friendly. There is a great night life, along with great food, and my home has increased in value more then the average rate in philadelphia.

The area is a semi-busy urban street. There is a lot of violence that happens around this neighborhood. I do like that the neighbors that I've known for a long time are very nice and friendly, but there are often violent fights and arguments that happen around here. I do think that there has been a lot of renovations and new people moving into the neighborhood, that adds more value to it, however, i dont think that i would move here in the future.
I was raised in brewerytown. As years go by I see many changes, from a church turning to condos to new houses being built. I use to live on girard Ave. As a child I remember the music store across the street bringing celebrities. The little kids dancing outside the music store. The pizzeria that has been there for almost 20 years. So many great memories.
