The area I live in is the perfect area for families. Boise has many outdoor activities and parks to attend, great suburban neighborhoods and cities with a lot to do. Crime rate is not high here, we have great local colleges such as BSU and CWI.
Voting in local elections can make a difference, but the entire state is so red that voting doesn't seem to make any difference. There is regularly state-wide legislation that is quite right-leaning and the state legislature refuses to hear legislation on equal rights and protections for gay, lesbian and transgender individuals.
Boise has the friendliest people and communities.
