I now live in the Bloomfield neighbourhood of Pittsburgh and I truly do feel more comfortable here. The people who live here are more diverse and that is super important to me. Less hassle driving about and parking my car. Taking the bus around this end of town is better as I only need to take one bus to work and only walk 5 minutes to catch it.
When my living situation had to change unexpectedly, my first pick for a new place to live was in Bloomfield. There's several parks very close and shopping is still not very far away. I recommend it to folks in the 20s and 30s who are looking for a safe place to live for a good price.

Bloomfield is the PERFECT neighborhood in Pittsburgh. It is close to downtown, strip district, north side and many Pittsburgh attractions. It is family friendly - lots to do for people of all ages. I've always felt safe living here.

a loner in this little town with friends; many, many hospitals available, and it
is quite attractive. Shopping is easily accessible with many varieties of shops, grocery stores, etc., as well as a very efficient police force!

Cozy, tight-knit affordable neighborhood with deep ties to Pittsburgh's social history. Has so far resisted the gentrification that is eroding other nearby areas.
Bloomfield is a great, affordable neighborhood that is well connected to the rest of the city. I highly recommend it for younger residents looking for an affordable place to live that is accessible and close to the trendiest areas of the city without the inflated rents
