Quiet neighborhood, very family friendly, pet friendly with Carver Park just next door. Typical New Orleans car break ins from time to time. Longer than average commute if you work downtown.
The streetcar is great. the public transportation as a whole, is lacking. There are not enough police officers to protect the area. The roads are bumpy with potholes. The recycling only comes to single home residents or a certain type of residents and excludes apartments. Glass is also not recycled in this area and there are not enough recycling bins per household in New Orleans.
New Orleans overall is having a brain gain. The uptown New Orleans area is only good for college students (bars, restaurants, and boutiques) or hospitality industry. The New Orleans area is great for entrepreneurs and people looking to start new businesses.
